Build It Somewhere Else !
Way back in 1914 a
horse named Lady Goo Goo was the first horse to cross the finish line in
Missoula. That kicked off a tradition that almost lasted a hundred years
but this is Montana, same story different track.
After years of losing money at Missoula a final two day meet was held in 2010. Horseman have tried to resurrect the meet but were dealt a crushing blow in 2013, when fair officials excluded racing from future plans. Their response to horseman "build a track somewhere else"
